PLYMOUTH & DISTRICT SHORE LEAGUE 2008
The penultimate heat of shore league 2008 saw a lot of teams struggle with quality fish hard to come by. Mark Ash of Roving Rods A showed how it should be done with aa Conger of 26-12, a Bull Huss of 9-3 and the best fish of the weekend; a Flounder of 3-9-8. Mark's Flounder helped his side clinch the 2008 specimen points trophy and also puts Roving Rods A in a strong position to take the 3 species award. Rob Wheaton took 4 specimen points for his 12-0 Thornback which to his credit was kept alive and returned. Final specimen points went to Brixham's Ashley Cockram with a Wrasse of 5-11.
Brixham SAC (245pts) continue to hold top spot in Division 1 from Roving Rods A (236pts) and Rodbenders (216pts). Division 2 is already decided, with Plymouth in an unassailable position. Roving Rodders and the Tackle And Bait Shop Juniors will battle it out for second place in the final heat.
Proposals to be submitted to the committee by March 1st.
